BIVIANA FRANCO
It was in September 2010, when artist and designer Biviana "Bivi" Franco discovered the desire in her heart to use her talents for the benefit of others. Her degree in fashion design, nearly 10 years experience producing and teaching art, developing art programs for schools, and her volunteer work with non-profits propelled her towards her passion – creating art with a purpose.

Her motivation to take action came after two close friends were affected by cancer and also to honor the memory of her aunt who courageously fought cancer until her passing in 2009. Then in March 2015, her mission became even more personal when Bivi’s mother was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer. Each of these situations made the fight more than personal; it has become a passion with a purpose. Today, it is a commitment to providing love, hope and encouragement to those facing this terrible disease. Her goal is to remind cancer patients that no matter how the disease ravages the body, their spirit is forever beautiful. Bivi is a firm believer that “cancer may affect the physical being but the beauty within will continue to glow with hope”.

Today, her non-profit organization, “Feel Beautiful Today”, a 501(c)(3), established in 2010, has provided Arts in Health programs to more than 5,300 cancer patients and survivors, free of charge, in partnership with 15 beneficiaries-in-kind hospitals and cancer centers in Atlanta, Georgia. Bivi and her nonprofit have received several community awards for the quality of the programs and dedication to helping others. Her passion for Arts in Health programs led her to create the Hearts in Health Blog to promote the positive effect on the Quality of Life of cancer patients. Bivi also serves on an Arts in Health program committee with a major cancer hospital in Georgia where she helps to design and deploy programs for cancer patients.
